Other Attire
Eric- Eric is going to buy a nice black suit for the occassion (it frustrates me when I see brides in well tailored expensive dresses and grooms in rented tuxes that do not fit them). Since we're only having our sisters in the wedding we won't be forcing others to buy potentially expensive suits for the wedding. I'm not sure what the fathers will be wearing yet.
Sisters- Since the wedding colors are cobalt blue and other blue accents, I think we'll pick out a color and let Kimberly and Heather decide what style they like and feel comfortable in. We're on the hunt.
Mothers- My mom is very concerned about this. We'll see how it goes.....

My Dress and Shoes
Bridal Shop Reviews-
I went to about a million dress shops (OK only 6, but I feel like I tried on a hundred dresses). Here are some of the places we stopped and my opinion of our experience (based on my limited experience and interacting with just one or two employees on a given day)
Mia Couture, Houston- The girls here were great and the store is beautiful. They stayed within my budget and after listening to what I liked, brought out dresses that I wouldn't have picked but ended up LOVING. If this had been our only stop, I would have been happy with my favorite dress from here.
Maison de Mode, Houston- The people here weren't as friendly but the selection was nice and there was no pressure to buy or up our budget. I wasn't overly excited about the place but there wasn't anything bad about it either. One major plus- they were willing to come in a little early so my sister could see the dress I liked there.
Stardust Celebrations, Dallas- We did not have a good experience here mostly due to the fact that we didn't 'click' with the employee helping us. The first thing she said to me in the dressing room was that she had to make sales today. She also made comments about how my mom wasn't being nice and how my small chest would need to be 'improved upon'. It was hard to focus on dresses when I felt like I had to defend my mom. That being said, they do have a nice selection and with the right fit between employee and customer I'm sure it's a great place to shop.
Patsy's, Dallas- They fit us in at the last minute (we were in Dallas so we figured we would give it a try). The staff there was wonderful. I lucked out and was the only person there for 30min or so, and got a lot of attention. The ladies knew the designers and dresses, and they knew how to make elements 'pop' with accessories. I left Patsy's thinking I had found the dress (this was a common theme) and honestly believe that would have given me top notch service, even with me living in Houston. I highly recommend Patsy's.
Warren Barron Bridal, Dallas - Again, they found an appointment at the last minute. I thought this might be a little too upscale and was afriad there would only be a dress or two in there that I could afford. Not the case. These ladies know the dresses, designers, and what looks good on certain body types. They found dresses I would have never considered that looked great on me. Not to mention their customer service is great. I got a follow up hand written note! and an email. Again, I left here loving a Lela Rose dress, considering canceling our Sunday appointment.
Priscilla's of Boston, Houston- Great shop, great customer service, great dresses. I found the dress I purchased (I would have been happy with one from a few other shops) here and I got a deal on it. Additionally, I got a second 'party' dress for the reception. I hope that they continue to impress me with their service (bonus points, it's 10 minutes from our house!)

I am having a hard time finding shoes- Eric is only a few inched taller than me and I don't really want to spend all evening in heels so I'm looking for flats or low heels. Thanks to Zappos and their amazing return policy (365 days!) I have bought several pair already that I intend on returning (we'll see what happens though). Pictured are my favorites so far. I think they'll look good with the dress but it's hard to tell.
