VENUE-
Vintage Villas- Both our ceremony and reception will be held here. Our on-site coordinator is Lisa and so far she's been great. We picked VV because of the awesome location, the intimate feeling of the place, and the convenience of having everything in one place. www.vintagevillas.com

Month-Of Coordinator
Becky Brock- BZ Events- After thinking about the wedding and talking about logistics for a while, Eric and I decided it would be best to at least interview DOC and MOC to get a better idea of how they might be able to help. Since we live in Houston and are planning a wedding in Austin, this seemed like a good idea. Additionally, I didn't want my mom, sister, or any of Eric's family to have to worry about logistics on our wedding day. This is our treat to our Family.

Update! We recently hired Becky and Stephanie of BZEvent. Even though our wedding isn't until May, they're been super helpful pointing us in the right direction for vendors and providing feedback on our ideas. I'm SO happy we decided to hire them.
Photography
Vanessa- Photography By Vanessa- I had a really hard time finding a photography that I like who was available. I initially emailed Vanessa and thought her lack of response meant that she was busy. I later called her and found out that her website contact wasn't working. GREAT NEWS! I am so happy that we found her and I am thrilled to start taking photos. Our Engagement photos will be sometime in early December
Ceremony Music
Ravner Salinas- classical guitar- Eric really like classical guitar and we want a DJ for the reception. Neither of us like the idea of a DJ for the ceremony so we decided to try to find a guitarist. Eric found Ravner and he's awesome! (I guess this is a strange thing to have booked so early but we're happy we found him)
Florist
We interviewed several florists and decided on Stephanie from Bouquets of Austin. She was far more professional, organized, and creative than any other florist with whom we spoke. Stephanie seemed to have a broader vision of the room and the venue than others who seemed to only be focusing on single centerpieces. I also really liked the fact that during the meeting she showed photos to explain ideas and before we left we had an Excel print out of what everything would cost. I'm really excited to work with Stephanie and think she'll do a great job!
Baker
Eric and I are not very talented when it comes to graphic design, so while we had several ideas, we were looking for someone to bring them to life in a creative and beautiful way. Also- the cake needed to be good. We were both hooked after trying Paloma Efron's (of www.cocopalomadesserts.com ) creations. Like Stephanie and Becky, she was very professional, creative, and the cakes were amazing. She has a background in graphic design that is evident from her cakes. 15 minutes into our meeting she had 2 sketches (colored with colored pencils!) based on elements we liked from other cakes and she was very clear about the origin of costs. I can't wait to see more of here designs and have more cake!
Videographer
Eric and I have gone back and forth about whether we want a videographer or not. After soliciting opinions from theknot, family members, and friends we decided that it would be a good idea. We watched many (not so good) samples from various videographers before we found Diane with Crescent Video Productions. Their prices are higher than some but less than a lot of others but their work is amazing. They produce beautifully edited videos that seem to capture moments and the feel of the day. When Diane told me most brides don't remember her being at the wedding filming, I was sold.
