Decorations
Lots of work and thinking needs to be done!
Ceremony Decorations-
My mom came up with (well she probably saw it somewhere and I'm sure someone else has done it) of having tall cylindar vases with cobalt blue sea glass surrounding a cylindar candle. I am a big fan and think these could easily translate to cocktail table decorations. I am in the process of ordering supplies to test the look.
Reception Decorations-
We are still i the early planning stages of what we want. We want something contemporary and simple but we're not sure what that means. Vintage Villas provides tables, linens, etc. so the only thing we need to buy/rent/make are colorful additions.
Tables-
I like the idea of having one long table down the middle of the room and then round tables on either side. I need to talk to the event coordinator about this..
Linens-
Currently I'm thinking of renting/buying cobalt blue napkins for everyone that will add some color to the room and tables. I would like to have multiple or one very long table runner for the main table. (photo of room at Vintage Villas) One knottie (I can't remember who now, sorry) made runners with cut fabric and glue+iron. If I can figure out how to do this, I might make runners for all of the tables. Here's a photo of the style I like (from theknot, Kam and Michael's wedding)
